This page explains how BhooSnap handles your data and the terms that govern your use of the app.

By installing or using BhooSnap, you agree to this Privacy Policy and these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please uninstall the app immediately.

1. General Information

BhooSnap is an Android application offering utilities including Land Area Calculator, Document Scanner, House Material Cost Estimator, Daily Expenditure Tracker, QR Code Scanner & Generator, Telugu‑English Translator, and Stamp Duty Calculator.

Important: All outputs are approximate or informational and are not legally valid unless verified by relevant authorities or professionals.

2. Privacy Policy

2.1 Data Collection & Usage

Land Area Calculator (Google Maps) — Uses map data and PIN/location selection to compute area estimates. Results are approximate. The app does not store your map selections on developer servers.

Document Scanner (Google ML Kit) — Scanning and processing are handled by ML Kit. Scanned files are stored locally on your device; the developer does not access or upload them.

House Material Cost — Provides estimated costs based on general assumptions. No personal data is required.

Daily Expenditure — Uses a local Room database. Your entries remain on your device and are not transmitted to external servers.

Photo Resizing & Image Processing Features

Our app includes a photo resizing feature that allows users to select and resize images directly on their device.

  • All image selection and resizing are performed entirely on the user’s    device.

  • The app does not upload, transmit, or share any selected photos to external servers or third parties.

  • Photos are accessed only through the Android system’s built-in file picker with your explicit consent.

  • Processed images are saved locally in your phone’s gallery or the app’s private storage area.

  • Temporary image files may be created during resizing; these are automatically removed when the app cache is cleared.

  • We do not collect or store any personal data, image content, or metadata related to this feature.

If you later share or upload the processed image yourself, that action is fully under your control and outside the app’s responsibility.

QR Code Scanner & Generator (Google ML Kit) — Processes codes locally via ML Kit. Data remains on your device and is not shared by the developer.

Telugu‑English Translator (Google ML Kit) — Text processing/translation is handled by ML Kit. Translations may be cached on device; no developer server storage.

Stamp Duty Calculator — Offers estimates only; no personal data is required.

2.2 Log Data

When you use the app, certain third‑party SDKs may automatically collect log data for diagnostics, analytics, or ad delivery. This can include device model, OS version, IP address, app version, crash reports, and usage events. The developer does not control or directly use this data beyond what the third parties provide in aggregate.

2.3 Third‑Party Services

The app integrates services that have their own privacy practices. Please review their policies:

2.4 Cookies

The app itself does not set cookies. However, integrated services (e.g., AdMob, Firebase, Facebook Ads) may use cookies or similar identifiers to provide analytics, personalization, and ad delivery. You can limit tracking via your device settings, though some features may not function as intended.

2.5 Data Retention & Deletion

  • Scanned documents, QR data, translations, and expenditure records are stored on your device only.
  • Clearing the app’s data or uninstalling the app permanently deletes locally stored data.
  • The developer does not maintain user data on external servers.

2.6 Security

While the developer does not collect personal data, third‑party SDKs may process limited technical data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You use the app at your own risk.

2.7 Children’s Privacy

This App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided information via this App or its third-party services, please contact us at sujit.bera.jgm@gmail.com and remove the App from the child’s device.

The app may show ads or links to external websites. The developer has no control over and assumes no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of third‑party sites or services.

2.9 Your Rights & Choices

  • Access/Deletion: Because data is stored locally on your device, you control it. You may delete it from within the app or by clearing app data/uninstalling.
  • Permissions: You can revoke granted permissions at any time in your device settings.
  • Advertising choices: Adjust ad personalization in Google/Android settings.

The app does not host, store, reproduce, or modify any government content. All land record information is accessed directly from the official MeeBhoomi website using the device’s secure browser environment (Chrome Custom Tabs), which means the webpage is rendered and controlled entirely by the user’s browser, not by this app. No data entered by the user on the official website is collected, stored, or accessible to this app in any form. The ownership, availability, and accuracy of all information remain solely with the respective government department. This app does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the information displayed and is not responsible for any discrepancies or service interruptions. Users should verify details directly from the official government portal or authorized sources when necessary.  

3. Terms & Conditions

3.1 Accuracy & Feature‑Specific Disclaimers

  • Land Area Calculator: Provides approximate measurements using map data. Not legally valid or survey‑grade. Verify with official records or professional survey.
  • House Material Cost: Estimates vary by region, market rates, materials, and labor; not financial advice.
  • Daily Expenditure: Local utility for personal tracking only; may not be accurate or complete.
  • QR Code Scanner & Generator: Processed via ML Kit; results may be inaccurate or incomplete; use at your own risk.
  • Telugu‑English Translator: May produce errors; not a certified translation service.
  • Stamp Duty Calculator: Outputs estimates only. For actual fees, consult government offices or official portals.

3.2 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the app, including but not limited to financial loss, incorrect calculations, loss of data, property disputes, legal proceedings, or reliance on results.

3.3 No Warranty

The app is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, reliability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non‑infringement.

3.4 User Responsibility

  • You agree to independently verify results before using them for legal, financial, or official purposes.
  • You are responsible for your use of the app, including compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

3.5 Legal & Acceptable Use

  • Do not use the app for unlawful, fraudulent, or unauthorized purposes.

3.6 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the developer from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use or misuse of the app or violation of these terms.

3.7 App Availability & Changes

The developer may modify, suspend, or discontinue the app or any feature at any time without notice. Policies may be updated periodically; continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

3.8 Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of India. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Jhargram, West Bengal, India. If any term is found unenforceable, the remaining terms remain in full force.

No Personal Data Collection:
This app does not collect, store, or process any personal information entered by the user on the official government website. When a user accesses the MeeBhoomi portal through this app, the website is opened directly in the device’s browser environment (Chrome Custom Tabs), which is fully controlled by the browser. The app does not have access to any data, form inputs, login details, search queries, or records viewed on the government website. Any data shared by the user is directly between the user and the official government portal under its own privacy and data protection policies.
